A student in Kisumu was beaten by his dad and seriously injured after he failed to submit his report form when school closed for holiday.
Reports indicate that the man identified as Hezekiah Obusebe used a pipe to cane his son on the back.
In a report on Citizen Digital, area Police Boss Boniface Mutie confirmed the incident adding that the man had been arrested.
The police boss further noted that preparations were underway to ensure the child is taken to hospital for medication, and a P3 form secured to strengthen the case.
According to Mutie, the father of the injured student will be taken to court once all the investigations are complete.
Obusebe is currently being held at the Kisumu Central Police Station.
In his defense, he claimed that he had not intention of causing injuries to his son, adding that he was only disciplining him as a parent.
