Former South Mugirango MP Omingo Magara has revealed that he begged Migori County Governor Okoth Obado to stay in People's Democratic Party but, in vain.
Magara, who is the PDP party leader, said that Mr. Obado could not listen to him 'at all'.
"Obado was elected in 2013 on a PDP party ticket but since ODM is perceived to be a strong party in the Luo Nyanza, he decided to join Raila's party. I begged him not to join but, he gave me deaf ears," he revealed.
Mr. Magara said Obado should blame himself for the woes he is facing currently.
"ODM party has not defended him since he was arrested because of well known reasons. Let him continue suffering in custody because he dug own grave," he stated.
The vocal politician maintained that PDP party is still strong after Obado's exit.
