Mulyungi said the threat is a joke and can never happen.

Addressing the press in Mwingi town on Wednesday, the Wiper MP said it is not for Ngilu to decide on whether the county government can be dissolved or not.

Mulyungi accused the governor of failing to properly account for the county’s financial expenditure.

He supported the MCAs' decision to refuse to approve the supplementary budget.

“The MCAs are the people who oversight the county government and if they have raised questions, then the governor should answer the queries,” Mulyungi said.

Mulyungi claimed that Kitui residents are suffering under Ngilu’s regime.

“We have not seen any meaningful development since she took office,” he added.

He also accused Ngilu of discriminating residents in terms of development.

The MP asked Ngilu to respond to MCAs queries for the sake of Kitui people.

Kitui MCAs have refused to approve the county's supplementary budget.

Ngilu has, on the other hand, accused the county legislators of allegedly frustrating her administration.

She accused the MCAs of demanding for luxury retreats and trips to Mombasa.
