The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government has weighed in on the safety of the national examinations.
Speaking on Monday, the tough-talking cabinet secretary said that his ministry would ensure that the examinations are not compromised.
He went on to add that county commissioners across the 47 counties had assured him as much, saying that excuses will not be entertained.
"So my first commitment to all of you good people, on behalf of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government is that we will do our part and we will not do our part half-heartedly or in a mediocre way, we will do our work as serious people, " the Interior CS said. (2:43-3:02
Students and pupils across the country are set to do national examinations with the integrity of the whole examination process exercising the minds of officials in the Ministry of Education.
Education Cabinet Secretary warned those intent on engaging in or abetting cheating in examinations that they will be caught and brought to justice.
He said that undercover detectives have been dispatched to monitor the conduct of the examination process and on the lookout for those keen on compromising the exercise.
The entire country has been mapped out with areas prone to examination malpractices earmarked.
