Residents of Mogoch village in Uasin Gishu county woke up to the surprising news on Monday after a middle-aged woman allegedly found herself naked after spending the night at a cattle dip.
The woman only identified as Martha is reported to have spent the night in the shivering cold after a heavy drinking spree.
The ticklish incident has caused a buzz in the area after the woman revealed the misfortune that befell her to a close friend. Her friend, however, spilt the beans to other friends and just like forest fires, the whole village got wind of the incident.
According to locals, the woman is reported to have staggered to a shelter in the cattle dip where she, unfortunately, lost conscience until the following morning.
"We were informed by her close friend that she was very drunk the previous night, she staggered all the way from the drinking den but was overcomed near the cattle dip and she slept there," said Colleta, a resident of the area.
When she regained her conscience, the woman noticed that her inner wears were missing. She, however, stumbled on the pants some few metres in astonishing condition, torn into pieces.
"We heard in the morning that the woman found her inner clothes scattered all over the place but in pieces," revealed Jonah, another local.
"We rushed to the cattle dip to confirm the story and to our amazement, her black pants and bra were in pieces," he added.
Traumatized, the woman is said to have scampered to her close friends' house to seek advice on appropriate measures to undertake.
Some of the locals suspected the woman might have been raped while unconscious. She could however not be reached for a comment after vanishing once she was informed the whole village had known what befell her.
