In a tweet Wednesday morning, the former presidential aspirant claimed that the group, which he says thrives on poverty, is out to block any attempts to develop the county.

He claimed that the group has for years rode on poverty among their supporters to remain relevant, among them Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss Raila Odinga.

He as well accused Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) Kalonzo Musyoka of being part of the group that had been propagating cheap politics.

According to Aukot, the same goes to Garissa Township lawmaker Aden Duale, and is claiming that the group has been surviving by riding on the backs of poor Kenyans.

Consequently, he termed this as the reason behind their opposition to his Punguza Mizigo initiative, which he says will deal them a blow and render them irrelevant.

"Sababu wao ni adui wakubwa sana wa maendeleo. Hawataki watu wao wafaidike kule mashinani. Watu wakipata maendeleo mashinani, itamaliza siasa duni za miaka mingi ambayo kina @skmusyoka, @RailaOdinga na @HonAdenDuale wamekuwa wakitegemea. Wamezoea kuwafyonza watu wao damu kama kupe," he said.

This translates to; "Because they are enemies of progress who don't what their people in the interiors to benefit. Development for the people will end the poor politics the likes Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga and Aden Duale have been depending on. They are used to sucking their people like ticks."

He was responding to a tweet by Radio Citizen.

The three leaders have openly opposed Aukots bill which seeks to reduce the wage bill burden by cutting the number of parliamentary seats by over half, to about 140.

On the other hand, Raila and Kalonzo are in support of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which they say will culminate in a referendum to expand the executive arm of government.

On his side, Duale, also the National Assembly Majority Leader has warned that any attempt to reduce the parliament will not be condoned, warning Garissa MCAs against passing the bill.
