When former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo appeared on Citizen TV's JKL show two days ago, he commented on an array of issues currently affecting the country.
Kabogo whom many praised for 'telling things as they are', did not also shy away from criticising President Uhuru Kenyatta's government policy on taxation and borrowing.
"Why do we need to borrow? Are we borrowing to develop or to put money into people’s pockets? We cannot grow capital through taxes and excessive borrowing. Any more taxes on Kenyans we will be asking for blood," Kabogo said.
He added that the country is 'full of darkness' and that he was glad to be watching it happen while 'sitted aside' as if he was an elected leader, he would be sharing in the blame.
At the same time, Kabogo hit out at the current Kiambu County leadership which he failed short of calling a 'total failure'.
"If you give it (Kiambu County) back to me tomorrow, it would take me six years to get it back to where I left it. Being a governor is not a beauty contest," he said.
Those are just but a few of the many issues Kabogo commented on which excited many social media users who in turn praised him endlessly.
Some even opined that Kabogo is the right man for the top job come 2022.
As a result, Kabogo who is still trending on many social media circles has been accused by some social media users of paying bloggers and other people to 'tweet and SMS praises' before appearing on the Wednesday TV show hosted by Jeff Koinange.
Below are some of the posts that accuse Kabogo of paying bloggers to 'praise' him online and on TV.
