Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja is a key advocate for good health.
Sakaja is among government officials who were overweight and now taking a step to lose weight.
Speaking during an interview with Milele FM, Sakaja revealed that he had lost 24kgs where he shared tips about his weight loss journey.
He notes that cutting down on carbohydrates and lowering alcohol intake is important.
“Diet ni muhimu, just reduce the quantities na carbohydrates mingi, add healthy foods halafu kuchapa tizi ( Diet is important just reduce the quantities and carbohydrates, add healthy foods then work out)," said Sakaja.
He also said that alcohol is responsible for adding more calories.
Many government officials are not to pack up weight due to their tight schedules.
National Assembly Majority Aden Duale is another prominent leader who is known to observe a healthy lifestyle. According to Duale, he never eats any carbohydrates past 8pm.
Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharrif is another leader who went transformation and lost over 30kgs.
