Waititu has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta could not have won without DP William Ruto's backing.

Speaking on Sunday in a church service at AIPCA Church, Makadara in Nairobi County, Waititu praised DP Ruto branding him as the main facilitator that helped Uhuru to become the president of Kenya.

The vocal governor said Mt. Kenya people should stand out and lend a helping hand to Ruto come 2022 so that they do not get branded as conmen of this country for failing to offer back the support they received from DP Ruto in recent years.

"It will be looting somebody who has worked hard, were it not for Ruto, I swear before the highest God, President Uhuru Kenyatta would not have won the elections, that is a fact. He (Uhuru) could have won no seat if the DP was missing on his team," said angry Waititu.

Waitiu's remarks have sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans with some supporting his words while others dismissing him as an attention seeker.

Kevin Masibo said: "Murathe admitted on live TV that Ruto rigged Kabogo out in favour of the stone thrower."

Francis Kariuki said: "I agreed but everyone should talk about his vote not our votes."
