Wife of the newly-named Safaricom Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Peter Ndegwa, Jemimah Ndegwa on Thursday sent her husband a special congratulatory message after the announcement his new role at the telco company.
Mrs Ndegwa through her Facebook account showered her husband with praises as she affirmed him of continued support.
She further described her husband as being a hardworking, committed and risk-taking person.
The wife pointed out that her husband indeed possesses qualities that make him right for his new job which he is set to officially start on April 1, 2020.
“My dear, you always tell me that there is no short-cut to ‘real’ and ‘lasting’ success. Your appointment is proof that hardwork, commitment and integrity pay off. I have experienced first-hand the long hours and your commitment to self and others to achieve great things. You have taken risks – going to challenging markets but the experience you have gained, sets you apart," she stated as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Ndegwa and his wife are blessed with a 10-year-old son.
He is set to take over from Safaricom's former CEO Bob Collymore who died in July after suffering from cancer.
