Governor Roba wants the president to remain firm in his renewed effort in fight against graft.

Speaking to journalists in Mandera Town on Monday, the Jubilee governor urged the president to ignore critics and ensure corrupt state officials are arrested and prosecuted.

Roba said that the president will achieve his Big four development agenda only if the war against graft is successful.

“President Kenyatta should remain firm and deal decisively with the graft monster, ” Governor Roba said.

The second-term governor at the same time cautioned politicians against politicising graft.

He warned that politics is likely to derail the renewed fight against corruption.

“Politicians must keep off and allow agencies mandated to fight graft do their work independently,” he added.

Roba said that Kenyans have confidence in the DCI, the DPP and EACC.

The debate on graft continues to rage on as some politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto accuse the DCI of allegedly targeting to block his (Ruto) 2022 presidential bid.

The DCI is probing the alleged Sh21 billion dams scandal.

Last week, Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Henry Rotich was grilled over the alleged scandal.
