Kenyans on social media have expressed mixed reactions towards the allegations of controversial gospel singer Alex Apoko popularly known as Ringtone being engaged to Tanzanian stylist Jacqueline Wolper.
The allegations emerged after Ringtone released a new song titled ‘Natafuta Bibi’ in which he featured the socialite as a video vixen. Wolper was also at one point engaged to WCB artist Harmonize.
Whereas some of the netizens wished Ringtone all the best, some took the opportunity to criticize him for staging publicity stunts for his new song. The netizens expressed their thoughts and opinions using the hashtag #RingtoneWedsWolper.
Ringtone was heavily criticized for condemning his colleague Willy Paul yet he is doing almost the exact same things. The singer has in the past condemned Willy Paul for his lifestyle which according to him was not so Godly.
A section of the netizens was however angered by Ringtone’s controversial publicity stunts. According to his group of cybercitizens, the new song was no reason enough for him to stage such stunts which were described as a ‘nuisance’.
Ringtone has in the recent past been fading away from the Gospel music industry, hopefully, his new song will help him regain his lost glory.
