Garissa Township Member of Parliament and the House Majority Leader Aden Duale has never been a fan of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and has vowed in the past to get involved in efforts that will see Kenya withdraw from it.
In a vicious tweet, the outspoken legislator claimed that the court was an instrument of the Europeans aimed at serving political interests.
His strong words against the court came amid reports that the United States would sanction the court's judges who would hear cases against the country.
Duale cited the decision by the United States as a vindication of Jubilee's position that the ICC is a political instrument.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto faced serious charges at the court which were later dropped over lack of sufficient evidence.
In the lead-up to the 2013 elections, the two railed against the court, accusing it of meddling in the affairs of other countries.
