Slain Kilimani woman Monica Kimani was an upbeat girl who showed herself with happiness, family members said during her burial.
Monica, who was brutally murdered in her apartment in Kilimani Nairobi, was buried at the Kairi village in Gilgil.
It was an emotional moment for family members especially her mum who was overwhelmed by grief.
Monica’s father Paul Ngarama said death had plucked life from her only daughter.
“I miss your smile that melted my heart. You are the most beautiful girl in the world,” Ngarama said.
According to the father, the deceased had a taste of finer things in life.
“You even told me you’ll never get married without your own house and a car. True to your words, you bought yourself a car and a house. You always aimed to do better,” he said.
The cleric also revealed that his daughter was to buy him a state of the art car, a V8 Toyota Land Cruiser on her birthday.
“I’m still waiting for it, my daughter,” he said.

As Monica was laid to rest, detectives were grilling TV journalist Jacque Maribe on what she knows in the murder after her lover was arrested as a main suspect in the murder.
Joseph Irungu, aka Joe Jowi, was nailed after witnesses positively identified him as the person last seen in the deceased’s house.
