Visiting Uganda President Yoweri Museveni ended his three days official tour to Kenya on Friday with a beehive of activities witnessed before his departure.
President Museveni held bilateral talks with his Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta in which Infrastructural development dominated. The two leaders agreed to invest in railway, road and water transport.
On Friday, Museveni's itinerary started with a visit to the miuseleum of Founding president Jomo Kenyatta at parliament buildings. He was received by Majority Leader Aden Duale and Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka.
"Joined leaders at the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta's Mausoleum at Parliament grounds, Nairobi with President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. @KagutaMuseveni when he laid a wreath," Duale said on Twitter.
And thereafter, Museveni visited retired President Daniel Moi at Kabarnet Gardens in Nairobi. Although their talks could not be immediately established, the two leaders met in the company of Baringo Senator Gidion Moi.
In the photos posted by Museveni, a jovial Moi, 94, is seen having talks with Museveni. When Museveni ascended to power in 1986, Moi was 8 years old in his presidency. Gideon has declared interest in 2022 race.
"Thismorning, as I end my three-day state visit to Kenya, I visited the mausoleum where founding president Jomo Kenyatta rests and paid my respects. I also visited Mzee Daniel Toroitich arap Moi and our Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga, who are in hospital. I wish them a speedy recovery," Museveni wrote.
While Moi retired in 2002, Museveni has extended his rule to 32 years. He's expected to contest in 2020 elections, a move that has caused political storm in Kampala.
