A section of leaders from Gusii have now asked DPP Noordin Haji to initiate criminal charges against DP William Ruto over alleged land grabbing.
Led by KRachael Otundo, the leaders alleged that DP Ruto should be arrested after DCJ Philomena Mwilu was arrested.
"DCJ Mwilu is a high profile person in this country and she was arrested over graft and abuse of office.
"The DPP should also order the arrest of DP Ruto who recently was ranked as the most corrupt Kenyan," she said.
Mrs. Otundo said President Uhuru Kenyatta should leave a legacy by fighting corruption.
"We have seen President Uhuru kenyatta ordering probe on government officers over graft and some have been arrested and arraigned in court.
"It is time Uhuru should do the same to his Deputy because he has been linked to several cases of land grabbing and embezzlement of public funds," she noted.
Victor Swanya, a Nyamira based politician stated that corruption will only come to an end if high profile people who have stolen public funds and grabbed public lands are prosecuted.
"The law must cut across all lines. DPP must now arrest DP Ruto since he has acquired his wealth through dubious means.
"DP Ruto was recently ranked most corrupt and this qualifies him for prosecution over graft," he said.
