Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta's effort in the fight to end corruption in the nation.
According to Ndeti, Uhuru deserves credit for his commitment to deal with the dragon. She noted that Kenya has continued to lag behind because of the vice.
She also said that she fully backs the president in the war to transform this nation before he completes his second and final term in office.
She further called upon leaders from different factions to back the president in the process to ensure there is no loss in tax payers’ money.
“President Uhuru's efforts on the fight against corruption is commendable. He trusts on the agencies he mandated to fight corruption while allowing for due process of the Law to be followed. I urge those mandated to step up and present properly investigated cases to our courts,” she said.
In his speech during the state of the nation address, Uhuru reiterated that he is committed to ensure corruption is a thing of the past. He said that he will not tolerate any corrupt government official.
He, however, said that he will not fire officials in the government without following the right process simply because they are suspects.
