ODM party leader Raila Odinga's political career came to an end when he accepted the top AU infrastructure job, a Kisii based politician has claimed.
According to Thomas Nyangaresi who unsuccessfully contested for the Bomariba ward MCA seat during the last year's polls on ANC party ticket, Raila should accept his new job and allow youthful politicians to take over the leadership in the opposition coalition.
"The moment Raila accepted the top AU job is when he was finished politically. Let him now focus on his new role at the AU and stop troubling Kenyans. It is his right time to announce his retirement in peace," he said.
The politician warned youthful leaders against associating with the former prime minister saying Raila's time has already gone.
"There is no need for a young politician to keep on following Raila from behind. He is not a cow which is being sucked blood by ticks. Raila has aged and should go home in peace," he noted.
He reiterated that Kenyans should stop electing old people to represent them.
"This is time for youths to get the opportunity to serve our people and old ones to rest and enjoy their pension," he added.
