Early this year, Uhuru signed an executive order which gave Dr Matiang'i immense powers over his colleagues, including chairing a powerful Cabinet Sub Committee.

Speaking on Thursday in Nairobi, Matiang'i urged all leaders to give government easy time, adding that he's keen to ensure government projects are implemented in time.

"The president has shown commitment in ensuring he leaves a good legacy. As his employee, I am ready to even take a bullet for him. He is ready to perform and we must always stand with him," Matiang'i said when handling over two buses to SDA Church.

He added: "He has ensured all regions are getting equitableexcited share in development. Infact, at Gusii, I have seen many projects on progress. It's upon us to support the government now."

Dr Matiang'i urged Gusii Professionals to help both the county governments and the national government in identifying challenges and giving immediate solutions for implementation.

Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama hailed Matiang'i's contributions to the society, adding that his leadership skills is something worth to be emulated.

"Bwana CS I am happy with your job. You've helped us all the time when we are in need. This is the kind of leadership we aspire to emulate. I am thankful for the support so far," Nyagarama said.
