An elected Member of Parliament in Kisii County who is a member of Deputy President William Ruto's 'tanga tanga' team has launched the construction of a vocational training centre in his constituency.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro who is serving his first term in the 12th Parliament launched the project at Marongo in Motabori on Wednesday.
The lawmaker while speaking during the launch said he allocated Sh150 million from the CDF kitty to fund the project.
He confirmed that he is determined to change the lives of local youths in the constituency through technical skills.
"I want to ensure all youths who don't attain grades to join universities and colleges are enrolled in the vocal training institution so that they can be equipped with skills to make them earn a living," he said.
Osoro urged parents to take their children for enrollment in the available local polytechnics across Gusii region.
The vocal legislator who is a close ally to DP Ruto maintained that he has no time to engage lazy rivals interested in divisive politics.
He assured that vocal training institution will be equipped with equipment worth Sh100 million once its construction end in the next 6 months.
