"This is shameful to our county. As you can see all this is sewage smelling until we are now avoiding the place. This is disease and we are slowly dying. We are not hiding you can see by yourselves it is terrible," said Harrison Achoki.

The drivers and boda boda riders have now threatened to move into the streets of Kisii town to present their grievances and stop paying tax if the County and GWASCO cannot deal with the deadly sewage.

"We as the Kisii Boda Boda riders and Matatu operators we will move into the streets and stop revenue collection if the county cannot help us to remove this sewage. We cannot breathe. It smells even customers are running away. We should be helped because we pay revenue to the county," said Evans Misaro a boda boda operator.

Kisii town has been experiencing sewage break down which takes even months to be acted upon posing a health risk to residents and business people.
