Speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Saturday morning, Mwaura narrated how Nyenze likened the party to others which collapsed after clinching power.

Mwaura who belongs to the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led bloc said that Nyenze added that alliance parties normally start breaking up six months after elections.

This, he (Mwaura) said is the case to Jubilee which is now having a hard time coordinating itself, with Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto who are its top leaders said to be in a cold relationship.

"Nakumbuka vyema Mheshimiwa Nyenze akinieleza kwamba vyama hivi havikai zaidi ya miezi Tisa baada ya uchaguzi kabla ya kuporomoka.

(He gave me a hint that such parties do not go past six months)," he said.

"Nadhani alisema ukweli maana hata hapa Jubilee hatuwezi tena kusema tuko pamoja (he seems to have been right because that is what seems to be happening in Jubilee)," he added.

The party was formed after the merger of Uhuru's The National Alliance (TNA) and Ruto's United Republican Party (URP), with the inclusion of other smaller parties.

However, Ruto's side seems to be against Uhuru's ideologies and his calls for political calm with regards to Ruto's presidential ambitions for the 2022 general elections.

Some have also raised their suspicions about his closeness with opposition leader Raila Odinga, observing it as a plan to throw Ruto and his bid under the bus.

Nyenze died in December 2017 and was succeeded by his wife Edith Nyenze.
