Over the years in his political career, Raila has raised several politicians from grass to grace.

Here are three Coast politicians who were once close allies of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader but parted ways with him and are now in political 'cold'.

1. Zainab Chidzuga

The former Kwale Women Representative parted ways with Raila Odinga in the run to the 2017 general election.

She quit ODM to join Jubilee and lost re-election in the 2017 election.

2. Gideon Mung’aro

The former Kilifi North MP was once a supporter of Raila and ODM.

He, however, parted ways with Raila to join Jubilee and lost bid for the Kilifi governor seat in 2017 election.

The former MP is currently the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Lands.

3. Masoud Mwahima

The former Likoni Member of Parliament is among veteran Coast politicians.

Mwahima fell-out with Raila in 2016 two years after winning the parliamentary seat on ODM ticket.

He joined Jubilee Party and lost re-election to Mishi Mboko in the 2017 general election.
