The man only identified as ‘Brown’ was stripped naked and frogmarched across the town before the police came to his rescue.

According to his colleagues, they suspected that he was uncut after a keen observation on his ‘childish’ behavior, a suspicion that was confirmed when they ambushed him on Monday.

“We recently got a tip off from one of his close friends that he was not circumcised. Ironically he has been insulting people by referring them as ‘kihii’ (uncircumcised).

We laid an ambush on him and when we stripped him we confirmed that he was indeed uncircumcised,” Joseph Kariuki, a bodaboda operator is quoted by the Standard.

Their attempt to forcefully have him face the cut was thwarted by the police who fired in the air to disperse the crowd while saving the man.

Confirming the incident, area OCPD Joseph Kisombe noted that his officers have launched a man-hunt for the suspects involved in the criminal activity, adding that it is illegal to force anyone into the cut.

He added that the Brown will remain in police custody for safety.

“We have him in our custody for safety and we are investigating those behind the unlawful act .No one should force the other to undergo circumcision as it is a personal issue,” he is quoted.

According to witnesses, the man is married with two kids, and the group had raised a total of Ksh.7, 000 to sponsor the operation.
