Deputy President William Ruto now claims.that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has reinvented himself ahead of 2022 polls.
Lately, the two have been engaged in high octane campaigns in the pretext of development.
At Trans Nzoia on Friday, Ruto indirectly blamed Raila of 'hiding in fake polls and headlines' ahead of 2022 polls.
"Our competitors are now hiding in fake opinion polls, headlines and propaganda to discredit me.
"They are determined but I want to tell them it can't work. They can't much our development record and that alone is enough reasons why they will lose," he said.
While Raila has not declared his 2022 interest, a section of his allies have been pushing for his candidature.
Early this week, Siaya Senator James Orengo insisted that Raila will be on ballot.
"We are strengthening ODM party and our leader Raila Odinga ahead of 2022," he said at a funeral in Kakamega.
