Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has insisted that opposition leader Raila Odinga will have little say in his bid to chart his own political path ahead of 2022.
Wetangula who has been at loggerheads with the opposition chief following his removal as Senate Minority Leader says the planned merger between Ford Kenya and Musalia Mudavadi's Amani National Congress will go on as planned despite opposition from some NASA leaders especially those allied to Raila.
He said together with Mudavadi, they will merge the two parties despite the opposition from the ODM party, which is a sister party in the NASA coalition.
The Bungoma Senator in an interview with Citizen TV said he is no longer a stakeholder in NASA calling on Raila and his other troops to match on as he also soldiers on with his journey ahead of 2022.
"The merger is still on," Mudavadi said.
"The party structures of Ford Kenya and ANC are working on it. In a matter of time, we will be together. No one, even those in the high ranks of NASA will stop it."
Wetangula deferred with NASA's top leadership after he was dethroned as Senate Minority Leader following his disagreements with ODM senators. He was replaced by his Siaya counterpart James Orengo.
