"Uiiiiii.. uuuuui.. toka nje bwana, apana tambua wewe,. Akwende" one MCA was heard shouting (Uuuuui, get out, we do not know you. Let her leave),' some of the MCAs were heard saying as Elachi remain calm in her pink suit sipping some water.

Elachi has maintained her stand that she remains the county assembly speaker days after the MCAs voted against her.

"I have respected my majority leader and sat with him on the board ever since- This impeachment issue is very interesting,' said Elachi.

"When they called in to check on the status of the county the first thing we realised is that we had impending bills of up to Sh66M-Today we had to agree as a board to borrow money from our loans and mortgages so as to pay salaries which is wrong," added Elachi.

During the push to have to get out of the office the Nairobi county assembly speaker Beatrice Elachi appeared to spray something in the air that caused MCAs coughing and choking after they stormed her office.

Currently, a section of the media and the angry MCAs who were breathing fire at the Speaker's office have been pushed out of the office as the county majority and minority leader is allegedly discussing a truce with Mrs Elachi.

The county majority leader Mr Abdi Guyo also declared that the county Public Service Commission has already declared Mrs Elachi seat as county speaker vacant after she was impeached by 98 percent of the MCAs.

"As the county Assembly of Nairobi, we fully adhered to the dictates of the law- Section 11 is very clear with all due respect Elachi should respect herself and leave office," said Guyo.

The Nairobi county MCAs accuse Elachi of abuse of office, corruption and that she travels on first class which is not her portion but Elachi said she does so because of medical complications.

Some Kenyans have also shared their perspective on the ongoings at city hall, here are some of their thoughts.

Already Mrs Beatrice Elachi had gone to Court and secured an injunction barring the MCAs from bundling her out of the office and the case is scheduled for hearing on Tuesday.

"I cannot force myself on Nairobians, but also if I have done wrong, the County Government Act is clear on how to remove me. If there is evidence of abuse of office then I will give my resignation letter," she said.

"They said they voted 103 members, and the standing orders say we can not shout by voting yes or no, we do it through the electronic system. My worry is when you decide to change your standing orders. I want to plead with them that if standing orders are changed, you can only use it in the next session and right now we are in recess," she added.

"I have tried to make it a house where we are unified. When they tell me I have this agenda to do I go beyond to even look for money from friends. It is unfortunate that we have to go through all this. I only have my name to save. I don't have the money to give," said during an interview with NTV on Monday.
