Following the Dusit D2 massacre that occurred on January 15, a terror survivor explains how an LG electronics fridge helped save his life from what seemed like a deadly action movie.
The survivor who identified himself as Vincent Bosire is an employee who has an office on the third floor. As he explains, on that day he heard an explosion and peeped through the window only to see what seemed like pieces of meat scattered.
The man said that he remained with no option rather than to start moving hurriedly towards the lower floor. However, he saw many people running upstairs and remained with no option rather than hiding in his office and perhaps pray as they waited for the angel of death to come through.
"As I peeped through the window in my office, I saw an amputated leg and what seemed like pieces of meat, while people were rampaging," Bosire said.
"As fear ran down my spine, I joined the rest in moving downstairs but we found people running upstairs. We resorted to hiding in our respective offices," he added.
This is how he found himself in LG training area and entered into a fridge used by LG company for training and demonstration leaving a small space for breathing. There was his female colleague who hid in a washing machine and they had to stay there for 2 hours praying for help.
Finally, the Recce squad came in for help, even though, they were reluctant to move out of fear that the squad may think they were terrorists and end up spraying them with bullets. All the same, they were rescued.
