In a Tweet, Itumbi noted that though the case may take longer, he prays that justice would finally be served.

"It has always been said, and I agree that, "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Though it tarries, be sure that Justice will be done my dear friend Jacque Maribe. So shall it be done for Monica and family. So, graciously hear me, Lord. Good Week," he posted.

Maribe and her fiance Joseph Irungu are expected to appear in court today for plea taking.

The two were arrested last month in connection with the murder of city business lady Monica Kimani.

Last week, Justice Jessie Lessit ordered that Maribe should be remanded at Langa'ta Women's prison pending her appearance in court today.

Her fiance was remanded at the Industrial area prison.
