President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday made new appointments and one of the beneficiaries to the development was the late IEBC head of Information Communications Technology Dr Chris Msando's wife Eva Msando Buyu.
Ms Buyu was appointed as board member of the Export Processing Zones Authority alongside former Mbooni MP Kusoi Munyao.
But what does this appointment mean to efforts aimed at conclusively investigating the circumstances under which Msando was tortured and murdered and perhaps bring to book his killers?
Ms Msando has been categorical since the demise of her husband that she would want nothing less than justice over he husband's killing which happened days to the August 8th general election.
And when breaking news of Msando's death were relayed there were accusations that he may have been eliminated since he had reported that the IEBC results transmission system was tamper proof making it difficult to rig the poll he was to oversee.
The government that Ms Msando will now be serving is the very government that is expected to investigate and bring to book the killers of her husband.
And now that she is part of government, are there any chances that she will criticize the same government over its delay in unraveling what happened to Dr Msando. The answer is obviously a no.
That Msando's killers may go hovering freely well knowing that the lady who almost all the time demanded justice over the killing of her husband is now 'comfortable' in the corridors of government.
