There was a stand-off at Mwathi church in Karuri village, after a section of Jubilee Party legislators were on Sunday denied a platform to address a church congregation.
Among those present were; Kiambaa legislator Paul Koinange, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura ,Nominated MP Maina Kamanda, and Kasarani lawmaker Mercy Gakuya
Church clergy led by Bishop Wangari instead requested to offer prayers to them after which they left.
They later joined a service at Restoration church in Banana where they were given a few minutes at the end of the fellowship.
The stand-off happened just a day after the group popularly known as 'Team Kieleweke', threatened to explore Article 150 on the Removal of the Deputy President.
The team has on several occasions threw their weight behind President Uhuru Kenyatta's war on corruption.
