A NASA allied politician has advised Governor John Nyagarama to sack two Chief officers over health workers strike.
Wiper Party Vice Chairman Victor Swanya Ogeto said that lazy chief officers should be sent home for the purpose of ending the health workers’ strike.
“The chief officers in charge of health and finance departments should be sacked for the medics’ strike to end.
"Nyagarama should not be afraid sending home the officials in charge of the 2 departments,” he said.
The vocal politician claimed that Nyamira constituents will continue suffering if Nyagarama will not take action quickly.
“Many people will die at their homes since there are no nurses and doctors at public health centers to attend to patients.
"I am urging Nyagarama to ensure the salary arrears the county owes the medics are paid for operations to resume,” he said.
Swanya called on leaders to put the interests of people at heart and not their stomachs.
He was speaking on Monday at Nyaikuro area in Kitutu Masaba.
