This is an according to Navakholo lawmaker Emanuel Wangwe now claims.

Speaking to the Tuesday Standard, the leader allied to the ruling Jubilee Party said that the former Deputy Prime Minister will have to reinvent himself ahead of his candidature.

This way, he added, he will attract Kenyans to back him.

He added that Mudavadi will have to neutralize the growing political disunity in his Western Kenya region.

According to Wangwe, Musalia must bring on board other leaders who have already declared their hod for the same race, including Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

Failure to this, he said, Mudavadi might for the second time land with a thud as was the case when he first ran for the top seat in 2013.

“I am already in government and for me to move to your camp you have to convince me that you are better than what I have,” Wangwe told the paper.

Mudavadi who is the founder of the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) bloc shelved his bid for the previous 2017 polls in favour of opposition leader Raila Odinga who.

Raila, however, controversially lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He has been up and down in what seems like preparing for his 2022 candidature and has so far received a number of endorsements.

Those who have endorsed him include former Mukurweini lawmaker Kabando Wa Kabando.
