Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has invited a 10-year old Kenyan girl to State House. Sheilah Sheldone on Wednesday touched Museveni’s heart after she presented him with a colourful portrait of himself.
The Head of State could not hide his smile as he received the present from the little girl.
The mother of the girl, Sergeant Vivian Otieno from the Kenya Police Service has confirmed the invitation from the President.
She said she was delighted when the daughter was accorded such a rare opportunity. She also noted that the tour will inspire many other girls who are talented in different ways.
''It is true President Museveni accepted the gift and asked Sheilah to visit Uganda during the April holidays,'' the mother said, as quoted by Standard.
Sheillah entered the drawing field at a very tender. Her determination has seen her rub shoulders with different high profile leaders including Museveni.
Besides drawing, she is also a talented dancer and singer. Her talent has left many in admiration.
Sheila has crafted portraits of different personalities including Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, comedian Churchill Ndambuki among others.
In the meantime, The Ugandan President met President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto in Mombasa.
The two Heads of State pledged to continue working together for the benefit of their citizens.
