Siaya Senator James Orengo’s motion to impeach Deputy President William Ruto is a waste of time, lawyer Miguna Miguna has said.
The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement leader said that the removal of DP Ruto from office will not change the political situation of this nation.
He noted that there are better things that the opposing team under the leadership of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga can address rather than impeachment.
“Will Orengo's impeachment motion against William Ruto open up the IEBC server or bring justice to Msando and other victims of Uhuru Kenyatta's tyranny? How will it repatriate Sh15 Trillion the Kenyatta and Moi families have stashed abroad or feed the starving Turkana?” he said.
He also reminded the senator that the Jubilee government rigged their election results in 2017.
He argued the opposition to organize a revolution against the entire Jubilee government and not target DP Ruto in particular.
“Orengo and his fellow cowards know that Uhuru Kenyatta stole their victory, murdered their supporters and is presiding over a looting spree but they are pissing on themselves because Uhuru castrated them on March 9, 2018. Kenya needs a revolution, not an impeachment,” he added.
The motion to impeach Ruto has continued to elicit mixed reactions from various quarters. Ruto has been facing criticism over alleged loss of billions in the government.
