The body was discovered dumped in an abandoned house, near the Njabini-Fly Over Road.

The incident was confirmed by Njabini Deputy OCPD Charles Rotich who said that biometric examinations will be used in the identification process.

He added that an inquest file has been opened to investigate what could have happened to the man who had no identification document on him.

“We have picked the deceased’s fingerprints and sent them to the registrar of persons to assist us in identification,” the police boss said.

Paul Karimi, a local leader, suspected it to be one of the many cases recently where people are murdered elsewhere and their bodies dumped in the region.

The region has over the last few months been turned into a body dumping zone with most of the victims being young men showing signs of strangling.

He said that they were notified about the body by children, after which they immediately called in the police.

"On discovering the body, we called the police who in turn started investigations," said Karimi.

The police took the body to the Naivasha Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
