Most employers love interviewees who ask questions, because this shows that they are eager to know more about the company.

However, when asking questions, one should be keen to ensure that they are relevant, and will not cost him/her the opportunity to be employed in that particular company.

Here are some questions you should never ask during an interview:

1. What does your company do?

By asking this question, you are simply telling the interviewer that you are clueless about what the company does.

In this case, the interviewer will have no other option but to eliminate you.

It is your duty as a job seeker to do thorough research, and learn about what the company does before going for an interview.

 2. How soon will I get promoted?

When undergoing an interview, your main objective should be to secure the job first, then negotiate for perks later.

Some employers become irritated when you ask about promotions before you even secure the job.

The best time to ask for a promotion is after you've been hired, and when highly productive. 

3. Will I have to work for long hours?

It is not a bad thing to inquire about the work schedule, however, you should do it in a way that does not portray you as being lazy.
