A traffic police officer in Nairobi escaped death Saturday morning after a driver allegedly tried to knock him off the road.

According to witnesses, the police officer working along Mfangano street tried to wave down the driver in his personal car but the latter would accept none of that. 

The driver then accelerated towards the officer with an intention of knocking him down. 

It is reported that the officer in retaliation smashed the car's windscreen while jumping off the road to escape death.
