Uhuru had constituted a 14-member team along with opposition leader Raila Odinga which went around the country collecting views on how to better the country's structure.

On Friday, the team's chair Yusuf Haji confirmed having booked a date with State House for the delivery of the report, almost a month after completing the mandate.

“It is now our privilege to inform the public that an appointment to hand the report to the President has been arranged for Tuesday November 26, 2019,” Haji told journalists at a press conference on Friday.

“The misrepresentations are designed to sow confusion and division among Kenyans at a time when there is a strong national consensus on the need for cohesion, honesty and ambition to change our country for the better,” said  Haji.

Speaking on Friday on Bungoma during the graduation at Kibabii University, Uhuru said that he's ready to receive the report and read the content.

The president said his team will print several copies which will be distributed across the country for reading. He said Kenyans have no problem with BBI other than unfocused politicians.

"This morning I received a notification from the chairman who has been handling the Building Bridges Initiative report. He told me that they are through and they are ready to bring it to me. I have told them that they can bring it on Tuesday," he said.

"As soon as I receive it, I'll read it and I will ensure that I have dispatched it to all Kenyans so that they also read. Our people have no problem. I appeal to politicians to read it so that we engage in meaningful discourse," he added.
