This is has been confirmed by the area MP Abdi Karim Osman when he visited on Tuesday for distribution of relief food.

Speaking to the residents before the exercise kicked off, Karim assured for the residents that they will get the ID cards within two weeks to enjoy their constitutional rights like the rest of Kenyans.

"It is the right of every kenyan to get the ID card and use it for various issues. Fafi constituency is in Kenya and I want to assure you that you will get ID cards within two weeks,"  said the MP.

He further added that the exercise will be in two phases where the first one will be conducted from Warable to Bura and the second phase will start from Diiso to Amuum.

" The exercise will start from Warable to Bura and then Diiso to Amuum," added Osman.

Karim also urged his constituents to live harmoniously with the neighbouring communities.

"Let us live like one family and help one another.  Love your neighbour as you love yourself. Let's live like brothers and sisters of one family," added the legislator.

He spoke against the backdrop of violence being reported over the last week at Garissa-Isiolo border where rivalling communities clashed.

Two lives were reportedly lost in the clashes pitting the Borana (Isiolo) against Annuin (Garissa) clans respectively.
