Ms. Maribe, who is accused along with her fiance Joseph Irungu of allegedly orchastrating the death of Monica Kimani, had her Sh1 million bail processing delayed under unclear circumstances.

But her friend Dennis Itumbu, who is also State House Digital Communication Director, posted news about her freedom from Lang'ata Women prison on Wednesday evening.

"Jacque Maribe, has just driven out the gates of Langata Womens Prison.Home, sweet home. Thanks for maombi," he wrote.https://twitter.com/OleItumbi/status/1057661515963265024?s=19

Justice James Wakiaga Ms. Maribe on condition that she will no longer read news on TV besides depositing her travel documents.

In his ruling, the judge said the affidavit by Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja, was a prove that Ms. Maribe will not evade trial.

"The affidavits sworn by Mr. Sakaja, a public figure, is enough prove that the second accused will not evade trial," he ruled.

The renowned news anchor was arrested a month ago and charged with murder, an offense she vehemently denied of committing.

She was hastily driven in a Toyota Prado and was unlikely to spend a night at her home since it's still under investigations.
