Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka now says that he has no political grudge against Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua.
Kalonzo says that his relationship with the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader is cordial.
In an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday, Kalonzo said that he has no reason to why he should keep political grudges with the governor.
“We are friends and there is no enmity between us as the media has been speculating,” he said.
The former Vice President said that it is pointless to keep political grudges, noting that it is important for politicians to strive to unite Kenyans.
Both Kalonzo and Mutua have declared an interest in the 2022 presidential election.
The two Kamba leaders fell out in 2013 and have several times engaged in ugly public spats.
Kalonzo has been accusing Mutua of betraying his trust after he rebelled and ditched the Wiper party.
Mutua, on the other hand, has been hitting out at Kalonzo accusing him of being an obstacle to Ukambani development.
In August, the two leaders met at Makueni governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana’s sons' wedding and promised to meet and iron out their differences.
Their planned meeting is however yet to take place even as the 2022 succession politics takes shape.
