As 2022 presidential contest appears to gather momentum, a Jubiler MP has warned that Deputy President William Ruto who is seen by many as a frontrunner in the journey to State House, is too powerful to be stooped.
While speaking during an interview on NTV, South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro noted that the DP is a smart political operator who cannot be outwitted by anybody adding that his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta is unstoppable and that those planning to distract him should brace for bruising battle.
The lawmaker further dismissed claims that politicians allied to the DP's wing of the Jubilee Party have started early campaigns ahead of the 2022 political contest.
"We are not campaigning. Those that are saying so ate scared of the 'force' that is coming... the hustler's force," said the youthful lawmaker.
The legislator's comment comes at a time tension is continuing to grip the ruling party amid claims by the DP's political lilieutenants that some 'powerful forces' within the party are out to frustrate his State House ambitions.
With ODM leader Raila Odinga being dragged into the ongoing war within the Jubilee Party following his handshake with the President, a section of the DP's allies also demanded that Uhuru makes public his deal with the former Prime Minister.
