In his speech, Mr Mohamed, a close ally of Raila Odinga, questioned Ruto's frequent trips to Turkana, arguing that despite pitching tent there, the region has nothing to smile about.

But in a quick rejoinder, a charged Mandago, accused Mohamed of exaggerating the situation, arguing that fo instance, the Kitale-Lodwar road was under construction, despite Mohamed's allegations that it's pathetic.

At one point, the second term governor, blamed Mohamed of using a chopper to Turkana instead of using road. He pleaded Raila to ask Junet use the road after the function.

"I don't want to talk about politics but I want to tell Junet that you can't lie to Turkana People. Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto took oath in Kasarani. Raila took oath at Uhuru Park. Maybe your TV was blurred.

"Let those who took oath talk but as their handlers, you should keep quiet. The road from Kitale to Lodwar is being worked on. The problem with Junet is that he's using helicopter. Please Hon Odinga, allow me to drive him on road today," he said.

The leaders were attending annual Turkana festivals, which also saw Governor Josephat Nanok question ODM's decision to kick him out due to his association with DP William Ruto.

“We discovered that the hare was distributed in Nyanza and a bit of the meat was shared in Western and the Coast. Here in Turkana where we fought so hard for the party, we have nothing to show. If this is what had me ejected from the party, then so be it!” he charged.

But in his defense, Mr Odinga insisted that nobody chased Nanok away, adding that he was free to come back to the party when he felt right to do so.

“No one kicked Nanok out of the party, if he wants to come back he is free to do so,” Odinga responded.
