The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Governor is however yet to make a hint on his possible 2022 successor.

Here are four politicians who stand a higher chance of taking over from Governor Ojaamong in the 2022 election.

1. Ababu Namwamba

The former Budalangi lawmaker stands a higher chance of clinching the Busia top seat if he contests in 2022 election.

Ababu ditched Raila Odinga led ODM party is currently the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2. Paul Otuoma

The former Funyula lawmaker is also likely to bid to succeed governor Ojaamong in 2022 polls.

Otuoma unsuccessfully contested the Busia governor seat in the 2017 general election.

3. Florence Mutua

The Busia Women Representative is serving her second term in office.

Mutua is a close ally of Raila Odinga and is likely to bid for the governor seat in 2022.

The Women Representative enjoys massive support from women and young people.

4. Amos Wako

The former long-serving Attorney General (AG) is currently serving his second term as Busia Senator.

It is a matter of time to see whether the above politicians will be on the Busia gubernatorial ballot in the much awaited 2022 general election.
