Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has appealed to the national government to set more funds towards nurturing talents among young people.
Speaking over the weekend at Ahero grounds, Maili Tisa in Bahati, during a football tournament sponsored by the Bahati National Government Development Fund-NGCDF, the legislator said sports is one way that can help address the challenges facing youths in society.
“My office has tried to assist the youths of this area but the only problem is that the funds we are given is little.We need to work with other MPs to see how this can be addressed,” he said.
Over 35 teams participated in the Bahati NGCDF sponsored tournament.
In addition, the area MP appreciated all the qualified teams with monetary support, balls, and pairs of uniform as well as awarding the best soccer player for young men with Jersey and cash.
In the tournament , Tisa Boys FC were crowned champions while 2nd place were Rurri FC.
