Speaking to the journalist on the State of the Nation and the implementation of the Big Four Agenda on Friday, the Head of State promised to leave a legacy where corruption is completely done with in our country.

President Kenyatta also added that the legacy will see to it that people who want to serve the nation will do it out of the motive to commit themselves to leadership but not material gain.

“I want to say that we are going to leave behind a legacy where corruption has been brought to an end in our republic. Where those who choose public service, will choose public service because of their commitment to serve at leadership but not because of what they gain from public leadership,” said the president adding that, “If I can achieve that I will be thankful to God.”

He was addressing the nation from the Statehouse in Mombasa where he also asked the Judiciary to expeditiously and independently deal with the corruption cases adding that the executive has already done their part on the draft.

“Kenyans are tired of seeing cases before out Judiciary that takes years. You are independent are resourced, nut Kenyans are expecting you to adjudicate in an expeditious manner. We have presented evidence to you; we have prosecuted.”
