President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday shared a podium at Africa Inland Church (AIC) in Milimani, Nairobi.
This was the first time in a while that the President and his Deputy were attending a function together in a while after the emergence of allegations that they were no longer in talking terms.
According to the Secretary of Innovation, Digital and Diaspora Communication in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi, the two were attending an installation service for AIC Presiding Bishop elect Rev Abraham Mulwa and Deputy Presiding Bishop elect Abraham Kirui.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP @WilliamsRuto wako pale AIC Milimani, Nairobi For the Installation Service For Presiding Bishop Elect. Rev. Abraham Mulwa & Deputy Presiding Bishop Elect. Abraham Kirui of Africa Inland Church Kenya," Itumbi stated on Twitter.
The State House also confirmed the reports and shared photos of the two at the event.

There has been an apparent division in the Jubilee party which has seen a section of the members align themselves with President Uhuru Kenyatta and others sideline with DP Ruto.
The claims of the fall out between the two were catalyzed by the fact that unlike during the beginning of their reign in power where they attended most functions together, they no longer appeared together.
The last time President Uhuru and DP Ruto attended the same function was during the Jamhuri Day celebrations.
