The governor is set to know his fate on Thursday as the court rules on whether it should cancel his bail terms. DPP Noordin Haji had moved back to Court in December seeking for the cancellation of his bail term after he reshuffled his cabinet.

Through lawyer Paul Nyamodi, the embattled governor has affirmed that he has not breached his bail terms as perceived by the DPP. The lawyer argued that his client has respected the bail terms the court granted him and cancellation will be a big blow to his government.

“I have fully complied with the bail terms granted by the court and therefore the application is unfounded and misconceived and based on a gross misinterpretation of orders of April 2 and May 15, last year,” he argued.

Nyamondi argued that the court is yet to be provided with evidence that the suspect committed the acts.

Justice Thomas Nzioka is set to deliver a ruling on whether Lenolkulal breached the bail terms after he decided to make some changes in his government pending graft case. The governor has also insisted that he has cooperated with the DPP and wants his case dropped citing lack of evidence.
