Last week, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang criticised Kinoti claiming that he is allegedly getting instructions from president Kenyatta on the cases to investigate.

Governor Sang alleged that Kinoti's office is being controlled by Statehouse operatives.

However, Kinoti has denied that he is an 'errand boy'.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Lamu Service week at Mkunguni grounds, Kinoti said that he only works for Kenyans.

The DCI said he does not have time for people calling him names adding that his desire and focus is to serve Kenyans.

"I am committed to serving the people of Kenya and I don't care whether some people call me 'errand boy' or not," he added.

The DCI said he and other agencies involved in the fight against graft will not lose their focus.

He said they are determined to slay down the corruption dragon.

Appearing on Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) on Wednesday last week, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji also laughed off 'errand boy' tag against Kinoti.

Haji said that Kinoti is doing his work professionally, adding that they will continue to partner in the fight against crime and graft.

The DPP maintained that the renewed fight against graft is not targetting certain individuals or community.

The DCI is currently probing the alleged Sh21 Billion dam scandals that have elicited debate among politicians across the divide.

Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Henry Rotich, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa and his Agriculture counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri have been probed in connection to the Sh21 Billion dams scandal.
